Houston Bound

I am excited to be headed to Houston for a Stampin' Up's Leadership Conference - any Stampin' Up! sponsored event is always awesome and I look forward to a few days immersed in all things creative - and getting to see some of my favorite stampin' friends from across the US and Canada!

I have scheduled a few posts while I am gone - hope you enjoy them!!

First one is a Valentine Card that was inspired by my friend, Mary Waring.  She reads my blog - so Thank you, Mary for the inspiration!! I loved your card!

This uses the Love You More stamp set which is a special release for Valentine's Day - - clear #131853 and wood #131850

The little banners are a sneak peek from a Saleabration stamp set and coordinating punch!  Saleabration is Stampin' Up's! biggest sale of the year and it runs from January 28 - March 31.  If you purchase $50 in Stampin' Up! products during Saleabration you get to select an item from the Saleabration flyer for free!!!  Woot!  Purchase $100 and get two items free, and so on! WOOT!!

The "love" on the little banner uses one of the stamps from the Banner Blast stamp set - FREE during Saleabration!!

And the coordinating banner punch makes it easy to create the cute banner really quickly - it is a FREE Saleabration item also -

Other supplies used on this card are :

Real Red, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake Card Stock
I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add a few splotches of color (I stamped off before stamping them on my card so that I could get a subtle looking splotch).

I used a Tea Lace Doily - I always think of Valentines when I see a doily.

A bit of red glimmer paper was punched with a small heart punch and slipped into the birds beak.

Hope you enjoy my card!
