So Very Happy

Today's card features a new stamp set called So Very Happy!  It is a fun set, complete with
an adorable owl !  Have you seen owls everywhere lately?  They are so popular - I have seen them in jewelry, home decor and clothing.

This card is pretty straightforward but I did want to share how the balloons were made -  the one inch circle punch made the balloon - and the "knot" was made using the foot of the owl in our owl punch.

Here's a picture of the owl body - and you can see the little feet.  Rather then just cut them off, I cut them with a bit of card stock so that I could attach them to the back of the circle. I did this with contrasting colors above so that it would be easier to see!

And then I just added a piece of white bakers twine behind the balloon for the string.

The owl and the three tiny pearls were colored with Blendabilties, and I used the Memento black ink to stamp the owl and the greeting.  We still aren't sure when the blendabilities are going to be available but hopefully it will be soon- and I will tell you that they are soooo worth waiting for!!!

The designer paper on my card is from a new designer paper stack called Moonlight.  Love the patterns in this stack!

This card makes me happy - the adorable owl, and the balloons - it's a fun card that is fun to make!

If you would like to order any of these supplies used in my card, please click below on any of the images and you will be taken directly to my online store!

And here are this week's deals!

My favorites - the Hearts a Flutter framelits - these are cute and make great little banners!
And I love all of the Chevron Ribbon!!

In family news, yesterday my baby girl turned 16! Wow, where does the time go?  We had a family celebration last night and will be hosting a party with her friends this weekend!  Fun times!

Thank you for visiting today!  We are still getting used to our summer schedule!  We have been having a lot of fun - but the days sure seem to fly by!
