Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

One of my favorite little gifts to give at Christmas is a giant sized candy bar!  Who doesn’t like a big chunk of chocolate??

What I have done for many, many years, is take one of these gaint bars and “dress them up” – so that they look special!  A great, inexpensive gift for a neighbor, a secretary, a friend, a teacher, well…..you get the idea!!

I have two different candy bars to share today –

Here is the first – it is not tradtional Christmas colors -but has a shabby feel to it – my favorite style!

I used the star framelits, my Big Shot and the Many Merry Stars stamp
set to create all the different stars.  I sponged them with crumb cake
ink and added some bling with rhinestones. The bar was wrapped with a
sheet of Typeset Designer Series Paper.  I also used a piece of the
lovely Cherry Cobbler ribbon – it is so great to work with and ties up
into a bow very easily!

My second candy bar is a simpler, quicker version –  I used the Many Merry Stars kit – I wrapped the giant candy bar with a small piece of our wrapping paper and tied it up with a cherry cobbler bow.  The stars, and wooden embellishment  are all a part of the Many Merry Stars kit – I simply popped them out (they are already pre cut) and added a few dimensionals, and a greeting and my bar was ready!

Here is a close up of the tag –

Below I have listed the products used in my projects today!

Next stop on our blog hop is my friend, Stella MacKay –
