Hawaiian Grand Vacation Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hawaiian Grand Vacation Blog Hop!  I am
so excited to be a part of the hop this month.  You may be coming from
Georgia Giguere’s blog.  Love the card she created!

My
project was inspired by the packages our pillow gifts came in on the
Hawaiian trip- crumb cake bags with cute tags.  It is such fun to go back to your hotel room after an
evening out and see what pillow gift has been left for us!

I took the packaging a step farther and
added a large flower, a bit of Bermuda Bay for a pop of color, some
ribbon and a bit of gold.

My flower is created using the white filter sheets, the four smallest sizes of the floral frames collection and my Big Shot.  Hadn’t used the filter sheets before – they are fun and super easy to use!  I cut two of each size – and used my Stampin’ Up! stapler to hold all the layers together.  I then squeezed and scrunched each layer to create the flower.  Super easy…… and to attach this to my bag – I used Sticky Rounds.  Don’t miss these in the catalog – they are great for large flowers like the one I created.

Here’s a close up of the flower –

To finish my project, I added the ribbon and sequins.  The Bermuda Bay leaves were punched with the bird builder punch.   I have shared the products used in my project – scroll all the way to the end of the post to see them!

Please check back tomorrow as I will have a video on how to re-create this flower!
